PETER SKELLERN Peter Skellern was the President of Aeolian Singers up to his recent death. He had an interest in all types of music though much of his career was in 'popular' music and he produced several hit records. Alongside his own solo concert career, in 1985 he teamed up with his friend Richard Stilgoe and for seventeen years they toured the country with their two-man show. Over the years he also composed orchestral, choral and ensemble music, music for many television programmes and for children composed two musicals - ‘Trolls' in 1991 and ‘The Magic Tree' in 1994. He composed many carols and much sacred music for his own and other choirs. He retired from performing in 2001 but continues to compose and at the request of the Aeolian Singers he composed a cantata for Christmas - "The Nativity".
